Moving & Install

Tear Down

In St. Louis, our team takes great care when disassembling and moving your pool table. We use specialized equipment, including a custom-made dolly, to ensure the protection of the table and its 150-pound slate during transport.

We take great care in removing the felt from the pool table, ensuring no tearing of the strips and leaving no staples behind. Our meticulous approach prioritizes quality over speed, recognizing the potential harm a lost staple can cause to pets or people.

Install

Our installers will position the table accurately and level the slates using shims. If desired, we will use a stud finder to identify the optimal spot for a bar light on the ceiling.

We use beeswax to create a level surface by filling tiny gaps in between the slates on a pool table.

Our technicians meticulously level the slates of a pool table using a machinist level, ensuring precise and accurate results.

If your pool table is assembled on carpeting, it may require re-leveling over time. Our guarantee includes free re-leveling if needed. Re-felting the table is a reliable way to eliminate odors from previous owners, and we offer a variety of felt options. Contact us for any questions about our re-felting services.

1 Slate Tables

Moving 1 slate pool tables with a single slate requires specialized techniques due to the unique challenges they present. A 1 slate weighs a minimum of 600 pounds, necessitating the involvement of 2-3 people to safely carry it during the moving process.

Moving pool tables with a single slate is typically avoided by most companies due to the difficulty involved. However, we can handle such moves depending on the situation, although moving an 8-foot table with stairs is exceptionally challenging.

Leveling

A regular carpenter’s level is not precise enough for leveling a pool table. Specialized tools are required to achieve the necessary level of precision due to the significant impact even slight variations can have on ball movement during gameplay.

We use a machinist level, it is 10x more precise than a carpenter level and it helps to get the pool tables we install to a near professional play level of quality.

A lot of the movers in St. Louis do not use machinist levels. Make sure you ask every mover you call, most of them pray on the fact that you don’t know the difference between a carpenter and a machinist level.

Quoting

Number of slates on the table:
– 1 slate is quoted higher due to its increased weight.

City where the table is located:
– The St. Louis area and surrounding areas within 1 hour are quoted the least.

Stairs or tight corners at the location:
– Having a full flight of stairs doesn’t increase the quoted price if it is a 3 slate.

Grade of felt on the table (if being re-felted):
– Options include 303, 505, and Tournament grades.

Damage that needs to be repaired during the move:
– Bumper Replacement and Pocket Replacement.
